Happy New Year...well a little late

We did not do much to ring in the new year. To be honest it was kind of nice. We went home for Christmas for a very quick trip. We were exhausted when we got home. Also Hadden got a cold once we got back and so he was a little more fussier than usual. So since Zach had two days off from work for the holiday, we decided to just stay home and relax. It was very nice and restful.

Hadden is growing so quickly that I am sometimes afraid he is going to outgrow all his 3-6 months clothes before he gets a chance to wear them all. So we are dressing up everyday, whether we go anywhere or not. I try and at least take his picture so that I can remember how cute he looked in an outfit, because he may only wear it once. :) Zach's boss gave us the cutest little outfit when he was born. He wore it to church this Sunday. Thankfully he still has a little wiggle room in it, because he looked so cute and I want him to be able to wear it again.

He is just smiling so much these days. Zach asked me yesterday if all babies smile as much as he does.

His new thing he is doing lately is helping hold his bottle. Just in the past week or so he insist on having one hand or both on his bottle when he is eating. It makes it a challenge to feed him because he pulls the bottle out most times, but no matter how many times you move his hand he always puts it right back up. I told Zach that I am not ready for him to hold his bottle because I am not ready for independence. So I am not encouraging this action. :)

His thrush is getting better. He has almost no signs of it now. We have been swabbing his mouth with the medicine on a Q-tip. The other day I went to do it and he kept laughing out loud everytime I tried. I am not sure if it tickled or if he just thought it was funny. It was pretty cute though.

Well I have never been a big one for new years resolution. However I thought this would be a good time to at least try and set some goals for myself. I plan on trying to do one of the read through the bible in a year plans. Zach is going to do along with me. So hopefully we can keep each other accountable. Also I want to lose weight. I have pretty much lost all the weight I gained from Hadden, but I was not at my ideal weight when I got pregnant. So If I could lose about 10 pounds I would be really happy. The only other thing I want to do is be more organized. I am extremely organized in some areas, however some things I just let go far to long. Such as HOUSEWORK. I absolutely hate cleaning my house. I always told myself that once I stayed home I would keep my house so clean. Well that theory did not pan out. So these are just some small goals that I am going to try and achieve in this new year.

I can not believe it is already 2010. I told Zach today on the way home from church that our ten year high school reunion will be in two years. CRAZY!!!

Baby It's Cold Outside

It has been really wet and cold here today. We went over to some friends house tonight for dessert. We did not get to stay long because Hadden was melting down quickly. We took this picture before we left. This was the first time for him to wear his coat. He looked so cute. He really did not seem to mind it either.

Play Time

Hadden loves his play mat. He has gotten really good at grabbing the toys. Here is a short video of him getting really excited. He is laying on the floor in front of the Christmas tree. He loves looking at it.

Out Sick

I hope to update soon. Hadden has been sick ever since we got home so it has been a rough couple of days. He got his first cold. He has really not been too bad, just kind of fussy. I also had to call the doctor today because he has thrush. Thankfully we did not have to go in though, they just called him in some medicine.
We had a wonderful Christmas and I have lots of great pictures. Zach will be home for four days for the new years holiday. So I am hoping I can catch up. :)

Bath Time

Here are some pictures from Hadden's bath time. He loves his bath so much and has since the very beginning. I think the only bath he ever cried for was his first one.

We put lotion in his hair and slicked it back.

His pictures turned out so good today. I can not upload them though because our scanner is not working. If we can get it fixed I will put them up then.

I can not believe Christmas is in a few days.
Merry Christmas!

My Big Boy

We did not do much today. The weather outside was wonderful. However Hadden slept the day away. He is such a good sleeper. He woke up at 7:30 to eat and then went back to sleep about 8 or 8:30. He did not wake up to eat again until almost 1. I kept going in there to check on him thinking he was going to wake up any moment. When he did finally wake up one of my good friends Leigh Anne and her daughter Hope came by to say hello.

Aren't they cute?
Believe it or not, Hope is three months older than Hadden. You certainly could not tell by looking at them. He looks as big or bigger than her. We have always joked saying that they are going to get married one day. Hope's daddy does not really like the idea though. :)

I am going to go have Hadden's pictures made tomorrow. I hope that he cooperates. I scheduled it at a time when he is usually awake and happy. However it seems that things like that never seem to go the way you plan. He has such a cute smile, I really want one of him smiling. I am going to try and go with an open mind though so I don't freak out if he does not cooperate. I will post some of them, so you can see how they turned out.
