Baby It's Cold Outside
Play Time
Hadden loves his play mat. He has gotten really good at grabbing the toys. Here is a short video of him getting really excited. He is laying on the floor in front of the Christmas tree. He loves looking at it.

Out Sick
I hope to update soon. Hadden has been sick ever since we got home so it has been a rough couple of days. He got his first cold. He has really not been too bad, just kind of fussy. I also had to call the doctor today because he has thrush. Thankfully we did not have to go in though, they just called him in some medicine.
We had a wonderful Christmas and I have lots of great pictures. Zach will be home for four days for the new years holiday. So I am hoping I can catch up. :)

Bath Time

We put lotion in his hair and slicked it back.
His pictures turned out so good today. I can not upload them though because our scanner is not working. If we can get it fixed I will put them up then.
I can not believe Christmas is in a few days.
Merry Christmas!

My Big Boy
Aren't they cute?
Believe it or not, Hope is three months older than Hadden. You certainly could not tell by looking at them. He looks as big or bigger than her. We have always joked saying that they are going to get married one day. Hope's daddy does not really like the idea though. :)
I am going to go have Hadden's pictures made tomorrow. I hope that he cooperates. I scheduled it at a time when he is usually awake and happy. However it seems that things like that never seem to go the way you plan. He has such a cute smile, I really want one of him smiling. I am going to try and go with an open mind though so I don't freak out if he does not cooperate. I will post some of them, so you can see how they turned out.
Weekend Recap
Hadden was so good during church. He was asleep when we got there but quickly woke up once we got in the building at sat down. He hates being in his carseat sitting still. However when he woke up he was very happy. So I just got him out and he sat on Zach's lap and looked around almost the whole time. At the very end I did take him and he went to sleep.
We all dressed up in Christmas colors. I just wish we could have gotten a picture all together. Here are some pictures...
We also watched the survivor finale last night. I really wanted Russell to win, however I liked all three that were left. I think it is a little crazy that he cried at the end though. Zach was even into it this season and so we both watched. Hadden even watched a little with us as well.
Zach and I got the Super Mario Brothers for the Wii for Christmas. It is so much fun!!! When you play two players, you are actually on the screen together. We found it a bit of a challenge though because you can kill each other without meaning too! :)
Hope everyone else had a great weekend.
Merry Christmas!

Like Father Like Son
There is not much to say, the videos pretty much say it all. These were both taken within minutes of each other. Nothing beats a Sunday afternoon nap.
Enjoy!!
Hadden and Zach Snoring!
Christmas Goodies
I decided that I wanted to make lots of Christmas goodies this year. Some for us and some for our neighbors. I started by making Chocolate Krinkles, per Zach's request. Then yesterday I finished up by making caramel popcorn and rice krispie Christmas trees. I found the recipe for caramel popcorn on another ladies blog and thought it sounded easy enough. It was the first time I made popcorn on the stove. I was a little nervous about it, but it turned out to be very easy. Here is the link if you want to try too. Caramel Popcorn It was so YUMMY!! We bagged some up for others, but the remainder we kept for us and we have almost eaten it all.
I somehow find myself making rice krispie trees every year. Even for just us. My mom used to always make them at Christmas and I guess I am just carrying on the tradition. There were some other things I wanted to try to make, but the holiday season just snuck up a little too quickly. I really wanted to make my Aunt Connie's cinnamon candy. For some reason I have been craving it. Maybe next year...
We also finally got the chance to watch the movie UP. I had bought it while we were home in Corpus for Thanksgiving. We are trying to build up a movie collection for Hadden when we can find them cheap. I got Up for $5, thanks to my wonderful sis. Zach and I both wanted to watch it, we had just not found the time to sit down and do it. It was cute, but I did not like it as much as I thought I would.
Hadden had a pretty relaxing day. He slept in and then spent some play time on his jungle mat in front of the Christmas tree. He loves the tree so much and is so mesmerized by it, that I told Zach that we might have to leave it up ALL year. He can be screaming and if we take him over by the tree, he almost instantly stops.
Here are some pictures of him hanging out while I cooked.
Spending some one on one time with Walter the giraffe. (Zach named him) :)

New Blog
Well I have decided to start a blog. I am going to try and keep everyone updated in our lives. It will mostly be pictures of Hadden. I do not know how good at this I will be, but I am going to give it a shot.
So here we go...
Hadden has been doing really well ever since we came home from Thanksgiving. He now sleeps about 8-9 hours a night. Mind you it is in the swing, but I will take what I can get a this point. We took him to the doctor at ten weeks for his two month checkup and he is a BIG BOY!! He was in the 90th percentile for everything. Here are the stats for you:
Height: 24 1/4 inches
Weight: 14 pounds 1 ounce
Head: 42cm
He is changing so much everyday. His new thing he is working on is using his hands. He has started to grab things and you can just tell he is gaining better control of them everyday. We have started to give him stuffed animals to grab. Last night we sat him on the couch and gave him his giraffe. He quickly grabbed it and started chewing it. Here are a few pictures...
Doesn't he look so big? He is just such a joy and I can not believe how quickly time is flying by.
